The study of granular flows is important in several fields of science and particularly in geomechanics for predicting debris flow dynamics, for their monitoring and for the development and the design of countermeasures.
In these years we focused on the study of numerical models and
Recently we were involved in a project called DOMINO aimed to find a way for monitoring the seismic signature of granular flows.
For this purpose, we performed several experimental and numerical granular flow tests in a chute with different granular materials in order to capture the signal of these granular flows.
